Had some heavy(ish) snow/ hail/ sleet in Ilkley in the last hour. It's snowing a little now. It's a bit wet and not settled on the ground but it's covered the cars a little. Here's my new doorbell keeping an eye on my lamp post https://ring.com/share/6496926200356750709

Heavy snow here! Quite a turnaround. Heavy rain and 3 degrees at 7:30 by 9 it's just above 0 and heavy snow!

Woke up to noting but rain and a downgrade on the Met Office weather site this morning. You do the get feeling that if we are to see any proper snow things need to get a move on.

It's full on snowing here! it's settling as well. What a nice surprise.

I'm interested to see if the strat has an effect in the coming weeks. In the meantime I think we'll see more rain than snow this week, but it certainly knife edge stuff. By the way that is based on nothing other than reading way to many weather forums and sites! I'm rubbish at reading charts. I try, but I'll look at a chart and think SNOWMAGEDDON, but then I go on the forums and the experts say it will be BBQ weather! The sleet here turned back into rain and then stopped. If any snow does fall it will be while we are asleep I think. Pretty sure any lying snow will be confined to the moor.

Hi everyone Just joined the forums today! You can tell how bad this winter has been for cold as I'm getting excited about sleet! Speaking of which it's a full on sleet fest here at the moment. Although it looks like it's turning more into full on snow. Even if it does it will take some to stick as it's very wet out there. Operation lamp post watching is well under way!
