  1. Spend a little more on the Watson 8686 (Ecowitt clone), you won't regret it. Failing that opt for the Bresser.
  2. Mount it on a standard aerial pole attached to a fence post (use a compass to find N to align the station). Hit reset on the unit after putting batteries in and it immediately 'talks' to the base station. Follow the instruction manual and it's very straightforward to calibrate and get data on to your chosen sites
  3. Watson 8686 £170 from Nevada Radio is an Ecowitt clone, mine replaced a Yoshiko and has been faultless for the past 2 years and streams via a base station to the MetOffice, WU, Ecowitt and WeatherCloud
  4. Comes with a mains powered console which 'connects' to your wifi. Without looking at the details I think that mine is uploading to Met Office, Weather Underground, Weathercloud & Ecowitt
  5. Mine died twice; in the first week I got a replacement and then after a year it gave up the ghost. I have a Watson 8686 now and it is fautless.
  6. Rain please! 28 days of drought so far down here in mid Cornwall. Last had 0.2 mm on May 15th.
  7. Topped out at 32.5 in the garden down here in Cornwall according to my Watson
  8. Just hit 30C according to the Watson in the garden down here in Cornwall. Was already at 28 since about 10:30
  9. 10:30 26C, dew point 17C, RH 58% Hazing over from the west down here in Cornwall
  10. 8.8C, mizzle, occasionally heavy rain, 16mm rain since midnight, calm, 980mb
