I think right now has been the strongest gusts of the night. 56mph but must be hitting my place from the right direction. Plenty of shaking. -
Had 30 minutes sleep and woke up to more gusts.. Reallllly. So fed up now.

Wind calmed down for a lil bit but once it got closer to 4am it's picked up a lot! Basically like 12am gusts but they have dropped to 61mph supposedly.. 4mph less how generous!

Doesn't surprise me lol.Hopefully it just fizzles out mostly as it moves across so we have a small storm to deal with!

Forgot about this thread. Way more lively! Had bad gusts the past 3 hours which calmed down for about 15mins and now they're going for it again. Pressure has risen from 97.2 to 97.7 which is good but I want these gales to go away!!

Enjoy your sleep! Wish I could right now. Long night ahead. Looks pretty mean on that website. I wouldn't mind a lot of snow.. But since it still has a "hurricane" type shape it will probably still mean more wind right? I've had enough!

Just saw a post showing a picture over the sea with our current storm and the us snow storm cloud joining together. If this is true does this mean something catastrophic?

Trampoline in my back garden is standing its ground. My place is getting a battering though. Trying to comfort myself with the thoughts that this bad part should pass within 4 hours

Update: had a severe gust just now. Dreading 3am if it's going to be higher than this.

Ok that whole "sleep" thing slightly went out the window. Gusts are definitely picking up as the place is shaking almost constantly (not very rough, only sometimes so it's okay) and pressure has dropped to 97.2 damn it! Not had much rain today but I can see a band of it heading my way

Pressure has risen from 97 an hour or 2 ago to 97.3. Good sign I hope. Or maybe it'll just drop again once it comes back around. I feel like the gusts are longer but apparently the gusts have gone down! 34mph wind and 54mph gust. I'm going to try and sleep before our peak time for the wind hits. Hopefully I'll drop off and not wake up till the worst is out the way (if it happens). But if not, I'll see you all soon! Stay safe Thank you! You too

I'm seriously feeling like it's worse inland for you lot. I'm in a caravan and it's only shaking a little bit and I would know it if was extremely bad. It sounds terrible for all of you. Just checked my maps and it looks like there's some big rainclouds heading my way so there's still a chance of worse wind. Wind speed is still only 41mph with 61 gusts though.. Pretty lucky so far

Feel really bad for all of you getting it in the badly affected areas. Stay safe. I almost feel like it's missing me slightly? Or am I still in for it tonight?

Not too bad here still. A gust every couple of minutes or longer.. Reading show 39mph wind speed and gusts of 61mph.. Taking it easy then really lol. Gusts are bad but not horrendous from inside. Couple trees are going not far from me but they're flimsy so it was only a matter of time. Not in my direction too!

Only 48mph gusts here at the moment. Knowing that it will increase by 20mph or so is not fun :/

Its windy and the place is shaking but it's not tooo bad. Getting immune to it now lol.It does seem that inland is getting it worse as Mapantz said though. No trees going or fences etc just noisy. Wow stay safe!

Winds have really picked up again. Just had a walk to the shop and was fighting against it. Temperature has dropped to 11 and pressure still dropping. I'm still hoping it'll magically calm down as the night goes on. If only...

Winds defo calming down but the every so often gusts still have some power in them. Once the next round of rain comes, so will more higher winds probably. Usually the way for me. Grr

Got blue sky coming through right now.. Shocking! Will probably be short-lived but I'm happy non the less. Apparently it's 12 degrees here.. I thought it was unusually warm. Weird!

Thank you! You stay safe too.That's the one thing that annoys me, people always think I'm over exaggerating. At least we all understand the risks Also.. I checked my phone app AccuWeather and it's saying that gusts are already 65mph. As the storm will intensify can any of you tell me if it could get much worse than this? I know were preparing for up to 80 but would 100 be likely at all? We are tucked away behind wales slightly so I know that takes away some of the intensity. Just curious!

No one in mine takes it seriously enough. Just all the "we'll be fine" speeches.I'm trying to tell them this is only the start and it'll be way worse but I suppose they'll just have to witness it.We have a house next to us for a quick escape but other than that no option but to stay! Great

Guys I'm pretty concerned. Was just walking outside my place and the wind is already starting to push me. It feels on par/slightly worse than Wednesday already. It's gonna be so bad tonight I'm really really scared.
