I really don't rate the new BBC app. It has me as 1% chance of precipitation tomorrow and Sunday, wheras the Met have me for heavy snow showers tomorrow. I noticed it wasn't very good the other week either.

As a fan of weather extremes, on a weather forum.
I for one am hoping for some sharp frosts and some more snow.

Apart from last week, the snow never really lasted on the ground longer than a day around here.
But I was just looking through my Instagram and it's just snow fotos from the past few months haha.

In terms of snow falling....This has most definitely been the snowiest winter I've ever known.

Two minute walk up the hill behind my house and there were lots of snow drifts. Not as impressive as the Oldham ones. But impressive for my location.
i quickly had to turn around and come home though. The wind was too strong, and I wasn't wearing proper shoes for such heavy snow

Got a decent covering. Colleagues have called work already to say they can't get in. I live on a main road which has been gritted so I have to go sadly.

Clouded over... light snow.

I wanted to be a geek and measure
how deep the snow is imby but I had nothing to measure it with apart from an old pair of my hairdressing scissors which are 5 & a half inches length.

I started to walk my dogs up the werneth low and then all of a sudden more snow hit with a biting wind. The windchill wasnt very pleasant. So being a wimp I turned back.
i hope those of you who haven't had much snow yet manage to get some.

Just stopped. It left about 5cm covering on cleared surfaces and topped up nicely the snow that didn't melt.

Another snow shower, sticking to pavements, whereas the past few hours they haven't been here.
