Got very windy from out of nowhere.

My goodness, monsoon rain for the last 20-25 minutes in London Bridge area.
-
When can we expect the strongest gusts)squall in West London area?
-
I suspect that the flight leaving Heathrow will be cancelled in the morning.

Errr,, what the ekky thump is this for Heathrow. Me thinks it is having problems dear xcweather. Mentions snow... on Valentine's day....

Bloody hell, the wind has really ramped up. Huge gust about 5 mins ago. Crashing banging noises galore.

Whoah, that was some intense rain. Very short, sharp and strong pulse of rain, with strong windy gusts.
-
Wind is howling, sounds like a train rushing past.

Very windy here in Uxbridge and just had a couple of rumbles of thunder, wasn't really expecting that. Heavy rain earlier as well.
-
Cloud lifting at Heathrow, so watching temperatures again

Crazy amount of lightning and thunder here earlier, just starting up again.

Just had a 2-3 minute bit of small hail. Very odd. Sky is amazing colours if heavy dark cloud as dusk)night is lighter.

Holy cow, wind has really picked up. Literally sounded like a train whizzing past.

It got very dark here, wind really got up, very blustery. then the heavens opened up, heavy heavy rain, with small hail. One very loud crack of thunder, but no lightning.
-
Earlier this afternoon, on my way back home from work, the pavements had steam rising from them from the earlier rain. Wowsers!! Just loving the breeze.
-
Been a beautiful day here 28c. Now getting very dark. Wonder if we might get another rumble of thunder or two.

Blimey. Which flight? There aren't any at this time of the evening normally.
Not sure which flight, Def Qatar aircraft, but agree with Uxbridge90, it certainly was very very low. I have never seen any aircraft from Heathrow take that track, or for Northolt for that manner either.

A fair few rumbles of thunder now being heard and getting louder . A Qatar aircraft taken a different route , directly over my house to avoid a large thunder cloud.

Apart from the Jul 2015 storm, last night's storm was the most active I have witnessed in the UK. Second cell hit and the house literally shook. There was a particularly very strong pulse of rain, with lighting and cracks of thunder over us, followed by about 2 minutes of hail, pea sized. Way too much water for the drains to handle. Literally a monsoon flowing, with hail floating on top. Wish I could have got a picture.
Today does feel very humid.
