Uxbridge area - went to bed a bit disappointed and equally so with a quick peek out the curtains at 5am, but woke up to moderate snow from this North Sea stuff and still falling .. 3-4" or so

It was only 2cm when I left for work at 8 this morning Is it getting heavier?

Was snowing here when I work up at 7 and had started to setting. Continued snowing until at least 8:15, when I left to head into London by tube but by then no snow was settling.

I was in France for this and had clear skies. I've attached a photo I took on the day

The best I have seen was the eclipse in 99 in France. Totality with the pink streamers showing all round the sun as it was at sunspot maxima.

I saw the Leonids in darks skies above central america but the peak of the storm missed us there otherwise that I think could have been as good or better.
