Sorry to hear about your health issues Tom. Its good to see we might get a streamer or 2. FWIW treatments nowdays are very effective and my brother in law has had his prostate removed due to cancer and he has been clear now for 4 years. Stay positive

For the untrained eye. we had a hope of cold for The Christmas week at 240 earlier in the month, how do these charts show more promise than the setup then?

To me the models still seem to keep shifting this North. Our little corner of the UK will not be a nice place to be early tomorrow and through the day. Even if we only get 50 to mph winds trees are still going to come down and the low pressure will push water inland through our waterways. And thats without the rain adding to things. I hope its downgraded i really do but if not i can see a lot of flooding coming our way. I am just outside the amber warning area which i am happy about but the track is still not set in stone and the storm has not bombed yet.

All models show me that my area is going to suffer high winds so i am not looking forward to this storm.

Currently in Conwy. Heavy rain here no wind yet.

I am currently staying in Cadzand bad in Netherlands. And i can say yes it has been very windy. Rain came through last night and the wind has been very noisey. We are in a modern flat overlooking the sea and on tge sea front the sand has felt like little needles being pushed into your skin.
