Finally, the sun's out.
Sun's been in and out here all day. It's not been too bad actually.

Thank you, in a word 'Yes', but slow heartbeat rather than damage in the heart.
Wow, so glad she was treated, and all is well.ย

Noting the posts on medical issues, Mrs FLT had shortness of breath and dizziness. Her GP couldn't help and she was sent to A & E. The upshot is that she now has a pacemaker and is feeling much much better.ย
In answer to Wiggly, the BBC weather app is certainly not wrong here in S Cheshire, having been recently visited by a monsoon shower of rain, but without any thunder or lightning.ย
That must have been very scary for your both. Glad she is feeling better. Did you have any inclination it was her heart?

Gosh, this reminds me of when we honeymooned at Fuschl. It was just stunning in the summer and we had the hottest weather for the beginning of June. We walked from lake Fuschl to another lake, I can't remember the name, all across fields and through forests. It was glorious.

Just ordered a Vit D test, as am curious, and would prefer to know levels before I start popping pills. Thanks for the link @RJBingham.

It is idyllic in that sense, yes. And I would happily settle here as a hobbit living off the land, given half a chance. ย

We were lucky in Bridlington Saturday, after some early heavy rain and a bit of thunder it was showery, further up the coast at Scarborough it rained most of the day, with 40mm reported and further flash flooding. We had a shopping trip to Scarborough planned for Saturday which ended up being postponed until yesterday.
Not a bad start today, mostly sunny, wind has dropped, and looks set fair for my lunchtime bike ride.
I'm glad we stayed in Bridlington then, Mike. ย

Back from a very enjoyable 3 days in Yorkshire. Stayed in Selby and visited York and Bridlington.
Could have spent a week in York, with so much to do and see. Must go back. Weather on Friday wasn't to bad and managed to dodge most of the showers with indoor stuff.
Yesterday in Bridlington was a little wet, but there were certainly some dry spells, but no sun unfortunately.
Took the bus from Selby to York. Got the train back via Garforth due to delays. Then yesterday, the train back from Bridlington stopped at Hull so had to kill some time there whilst waiting for the next one.
All in all it was great fun and I can't wait to return.

Yeah, pretty good day here too. Really sunny this afternoon, and only a tad breezy to spoil the perfect weather.

Peaked at 24.7c here today. Felt warmer. Currently 22.9c in the lounge. Bedroom was at 25.1c at 8pm this evening. Hopefully temps will drop away quickly indoors now.
