Light snow just started in widnes

that's pretty cool!

Pretty intense band of hail and snizzle just passing over now.

Yep, nearly all of our covering has thawed now. Id rather it do that that linger about as brown slush for the next week.

A good few inches across most of this photo, melting quickly though!

Crazy isn't it? Pretty heavy too, we've got a light covering already. I was up the tower in work this morning (about 200m asl) and looking out over the region it really put in to perspective how sporadic and localised these showers have been today. Hopefully there's a bit more substance to this band though.
