  1. Under that conveyor belt (but outside the met warning) for the last 5 hours with no sign of a let up. Rain varying from heavy/ near torrential. No idea of totals, but my road which is a main access is like a river and will possibly be impassable in the next couple of hours if there's no let up.
  2. Rain inbound. Electrical activity behind. I'd imagine this amount of saturation will kill it
  3. I agree with you. The second wave is where it's at. Watch this space
  4. Well, I'm glad you predicted the Wokingham supercell and glad I heeded your warning. I was able to bring the dog indoors so that she wasn't spooked by the 3 rumbles of thunder
  5. The Peterborough storm had its origins across the river from me, then gained momentum as it moved North. It seemed to develop from nothing as we were under le clag Francais. Just goes to show strong insolation isn't always necessary
  6. The smaller cell, south of the Aylesbury one, wasn't all that. About 3 rumbles and no visible lightning. Too much clag to see any structure either
  7. I will pay rapt attention to your forecasts from now. I can hear thunder from that cell
  8. The chilterns are usually good for a storm. I can hear thunder from that Chilterns cell here Yes. Our rain has come out of nothing, so must be fairly rapid
  9. 2 loud rumbles of thunder in South Oxfordshire. Don't know where it came from- we've had nothing but clag this morning
  10. I'll take a Wokingham supercell of it has a NW flow or decent daughter cells
  11. Captain cooks monument could be a good shout- 360 view when it's not jaffa cakesing down
  12. Well and truly smashed 30c barrier here. 32.8c gives us the hottest day of the year. Luckily, tho our garden is SW facing, we're surrounded by mature trees keeping the patio in shade for most of the day.
