  1. Crikey! You know it's serious when Estofex have a level 2 for the British isles!
  2. Highest rainfall London and South East Benson with 45.2 mm according to metO. That would explain the floods, which have disappeared after a cool night
  3. Been under that conveyor belt for over 4 hours now. Our road is already flooded and will be impassable in a few hours if there's no respite! No idea of rain totals, but must be pretty high
  4. Under that conveyor belt (but outside the met warning) for the last 5 hours with no sign of a let up. Rain varying from heavy/ near torrential. No idea of totals, but my road which is a main access is like a river and will possibly be impassable in the next couple of hours if there's no let up.
  5. Rain inbound. Electrical activity behind. I'd imagine this amount of saturation will kill it
  6. I agree with you. The second wave is where it's at. Watch this space
  7. Well, I'm glad you predicted the Wokingham supercell and glad I heeded your warning. I was able to bring the dog indoors so that she wasn't spooked by the 3 rumbles of thunder
  8. The Peterborough storm had its origins across the river from me, then gained momentum as it moved North. It seemed to develop from nothing as we were under le clag Francais. Just goes to show strong insolation isn't always necessary
  9. The smaller cell, south of the Aylesbury one, wasn't all that. About 3 rumbles and no visible lightning. Too much clag to see any structure either
  10. I will pay rapt attention to your forecasts from now. I can hear thunder from that cell
  11. The chilterns are usually good for a storm. I can hear thunder from that Chilterns cell here Yes. Our rain has come out of nothing, so must be fairly rapid
  12. 2 loud rumbles of thunder in South Oxfordshire. Don't know where it came from- we've had nothing but clag this morning
