  1. We're getting sunny spells- but it's very murky and not at all encouraging here
  2. Unexpected end to a lovely afternoon with beefy, thundery showers
  3. Rapid drop in temperature following the storm. Looks like epicentre was about 20 miles away but still got decent thunder!
  4. Cell passed over us an hour ago. Torrential rain, wind gusts, hail, thunder. Looks like bulk of the action was in Wycombe but thunder was still pretty impressive
  5. I went down to Southsea yesterday and it was surprisingly quiet. Definitely picked the better day weather wise! Looks like a conveyor belt of showers for me today....let's hope some are interesting!
  6. Got a small, but perfectly formed cell earlier. Torrential rain, big gusts, drop in temperature, thunder and lightning including a beaut of a cg strike. Lovely start to the season. April showers following now with some great rainbows thrown in!
  7. This! I live here and we've had issues with surface water, flash flooding, run off and now raw sewage is roaming the streets! I'm not a met office knocker at all- but the volume and timings of the rain were well forecast. Just not the yellow, which I think was justified
  8. Rained more or less non stop for over 14 hours now. Local totals over 40mm/24 hrs and still it comes. Roads blocked locally due to flooding and yay, sewers in the village have over spilled
  9. Absolutely foul day here today- haven't even ventured out to check the rain guage! Been under bands of rain all day as the low pulls away . Maxed out at a heady 11.6c !
  10. Absolutely epic rain here! Cannot even see the end of the garden! Very surprised there hasn't been a warning for these showers- the road conditions are horrendous
  11. 4 seasons in one day yesterday. Started off cloudy and breezy. Sun came out and temps peaked at 9.5c. Light showers and lots of lovely convection late afternoon. Pretty intense but short lived downpour of wintry stuff in the evening and an overnight low of -5!
  12. Good morning all. Overnight low of -7c...now up to -3c. Max. daytime we've had since this cold snap began was 3c. Let's see if we can beat it. It's looking likely seeing as the heating at work has now been fixed
  13. -8.2 overnight. Now the delights of freezing fog, so ,unless this burns off, another sub zero day I'd imagine. Woken up to a cracked window pane in the kitchen just for good measure!
