  1. So, what's the reason for the lack of showers? We've still got a bitterly cold howling easterly wind crossing a relatively warm sea. What's changed since Monday/Tuesday evening? I'm not complaining as we've done very well out of this early this week. Just want to understand what key factor has killed off the showers the last two days ?.
  2. Still not really moved, just keeps slightly changing shape and intensity.
  3. Not really moving anywhere unfortunately. Just seems to be stuck there.
  4. Me neither. And it almost appeared out of the blue. Possible error? I'll keep an eye on it anyway ?.
  5. Big blob appeared in the North Sea according to the radar. Not moving in any particular direction though. Almost appeared out of nowhere.
  6. Temperature on the rise here, nearly above freezing now. Still blowing a gale mind and feels bitter.
  7. Yeah I wondering that, there's nothing out in the North Sea at all heading for Teesside. We'll see what happens .
  8. What an evening. Gale force easterly winds and a constant stream of heavy snow showers. Even had a rumble of thunder. And I've never felt cold like it. A remarkable event ?.
  9. Whiteout and thunder snow in Redcar ?. Didn't see any lightening but that thunder was loud.
  10. Not looking promising for Teesside at the moment. Most of the showers are fairly light with the heavier stuff pushing away to the north. Still, we've not done bad, got a few inches on the ground and saw some proper blizzard conditions last night ?.
  11. Is that big blob out in the North Sea moving towards the coast? It seems like its hardly moved since I looked last night.
  12. Snowing in Redcar. The beast has arrived right on cue ?.
  13. Snowing in Leadhills right now according to the webcam. http://www.winterhighland.info/cams/lowtherhill/
  14. Just been watching live coverage on The Weather Channel on YouTube. How I'd love to see a winter storm like that just once in my life ?.
  15. Well to say that I'm in the Amber warning area, it's a fairly non event so far in Redcar. I can only guess the centre of the storm has tracked slightly further south which has taken us away from the strongest winds. There's still time I guess so I could be talking nonsense ?.
  16. Why do storms always seem to intensify once they pass out into the North Sea? I've seen it happens so many times.
  17. Thanks for those. I'll be keeping an eye out tomorrow morning.
  18. Anyone got any decent streaming webcam links for the south east? Would be interested in watching the storm later from the comfort of the sofa :-)
  19. Currently in Haworth where we've had rain showers most of the day. The last shower had sleety elements in it. However, most of the showers seem to be heading just to the north of here which is rather frustrating.
  20. This is such a shame, I used to enjoy watching these live streams before I went to bed. I hope they can resolve any issues or problems and get back online soon. I'd even be happy to pay a subscription fee if it meant it coming back :-)
  21. I think most of the showers will die away as the winds will drop. Ice will be the problem overnight as a hard frost will develop. Could be some impressive low temperatures. A possibility of some snow tomorrow as this cold front moves in from the west, but I suspect any snow will be confined to high ground. Still a fair bit of uncertainty with this so keep an eye on the models and latest forecasts :-)
  22. Relatively calm at the moment in Redcar. I suspect it will pick up again later mind.
  23. Check out TVNweather. They have live streams from chasers out on the roads. I don't have a link but Google will find it :-)
