  2. There has been no sign of rain today.  In fact throughout the morning and the early afternoon, there have been a combination of bright and sunny spells.  Nothing like it had been forecasted for a deluge of rain.  It is 1:07 pm and there are large breaks in between the cumulus clouds. It is quite breezy.  The temperature is a balmy 11.°C and humidity is at 73%.  The barometric pressure is steady at 1004.7%.

  3. I have been on the Facebook Thurrock page and learned of flooding to the lane at ASDA/Uniserve Industrial Estate at Thurrock Park Way, Tilbury. There are also information on how rain is affecting the rivers and riverside footpaths. The below is from the Facebook Thurrock page.  This information won't be found on the Met Office website or the Environmental Agency.

⚠️ The rivers are reacting quickly and rising sharply in response to the rainfall. The forecast is for further light rain during the day Friday 20 December 2019. Further showers are forecast for tomorrow, but these are not expected to be heavy. Take care on riverside footpaths and don't put yourself in unnecessary danger. We are closely monitoring the situation with Met Office and Environmental Agency ⚠️

  4. It has been raining from Last night from 9:17pm to 7:30 am.  The Daiglen drive road this morning road was shinning from the amount of rain had fell last night.  There were large puddles of water which have disappeared now. Everywhere in my front and back garden looks muddy. The humidity has increased from 78% to 81% and the temperature at 11:10 am is 11:00°C .  The barometric pressure has fallen from 988.1 to 974.6 in 13 hours.

  5. SOLAR WIND SPARKS AURORAS: A minor stream of solar wind hit Earth's magnetic field on Dec. 18th. The impact did not cause a geomagnetic storm. Nevertheless, Arctic sky watchers saw its effect. "The sky turned green!" reports Chad Blakley, whose Lights over Lapland webcam snapped this picture from Abisko, Sweden:
