    Much more comfortable today. Cloudy this morning. Strong breeze 22c. Seems like we have a couple of days reprieve before the heat builds again into the weekend and beyond!

    Breakdown being pushed back again. Is anyone else longing for rain? I know the fields and gardens are! Quite a brisk wind here today making it feel a little fresher and the nights are quite cool. Dreading the humidity rising!

    Constant flashes here, distant rumbles coming closer! Can anyone explain why I always get a monster headache when a storms approaching? Feel like my heads in a vice!

    Lovely few days here in east sussex....off to our "second" home in Norfolk (boat) tomorrow. Can't wait! Looks to be consistently a few degrees down on sussex but looks dry enough bar the threat of an occasional thundery shower!

    Heavy snow in Mayfield. Started about 3pm lightly but been getting steadily heavier. Cars covered again and topping up whats still on the grass form yesterday!!

    Anyone else thinking surely we can't get lucky a second time?? Ive seen for myself that it's all there in black and white (or rather blues and purples lol) on the charts but can't quite believe it's actually going to happen eek!!

    Maybe I'm bonkers but spent a good while gently scooping out two buckets of frogspawn just before the beast....they were quite happy in the kitchen even if the husband wasn't too keen! Oh well, will start scooping again at the weekend I guess! Trouble is, the fish will probably eat half of them when they hatch!!

    Well I had been longing for proper winter weather and welcomed the snow and ice days with open arms but am beginning to regret it....three days without mains water (apparently due to sudden rise in temps from -10 to 8deg) no idea how much longer we will be without water either! Not a bottle of water to be found in a shop within 20 miles radius. Not good.

    Really sad it's over but am now hoping for a quick clean thaw, can't be doing with that grey sloppy slush that hangs around for days!

    Really big flakes now, intensity really picking up. Car and road covered again and nicely topping up the laying snow!!

    Incredible to watch. Makes a mockery out of our 5 day cold spell! What did you make of their explanation about why it occurred? Hawaaii?
