    After maxing out at 33 deg here today I've just felt a welcome cooler breeze! Still 24deg. Some huge flashes of lightening looking towards the coast but not sure it's going to make it here. Some deep rumbles as I type this...fingers crossed! What I don't understand is why no thundery breakdown Thurs/Fri?? Hot spells always used to end up going bang but doesn't seem to these days!

    Very heavy rain and lightening. Just heard the first rumble of thunder. Seems odd that BBC app had storm symbols for last 48 hours but not a mention of it on the tv forecast! Second rumble...

    Overcast but sooo muggy here! Looks like our chance of a thundery downpour this week has diminished.

    21.3c right now after a grey sunless day. I love the heat but not the humidity and this heat is no good without the sun! The sky kept going really dark but not a drop of rain. A far cry from the heat of last summer sadly.

    17.6c. Been raining here for past hour, wasn't forecast as far as I can see. Not even a flicker looking towards south coast....Will it, won't it?

    Cloudy and raining here but so humid. If my headache is anything to go by there's going to be one hell of a storm later!

    Well that was a noisy night! Heavy rain from around 2am-4am sounded sooo loud on the boat roof! Lots of lightening and several loud (but not overhead) thunder. Thought it was meant to brighten up today but very grey and cloudy. More rumbles later?

    Thanks again NS, beginning to think it's just us two in here from Norfolk! So frustrating not being able to view radar! Husband keeps telling me to go to bed but cant stop watching the sky!

    Can someone tell me how it's looking for Northern Norfolk broads please? Have very limited reception (stuck out on river on the boat) so can't see if it's heading this way!

    Thanks Norfolk Sheep, had a quick look through bbc and mo and they seem to have removed the thunder risk for here completely! Frustrating I can't view the models though! Think we will head back for the night as have developed a leak over the bed!! Will have a go at fixing that and head out again tomorrow.

    Help guys and girls....we're Out on the boat on the Norfolk Broads, should we be panicking re tomorrow night/Wednesday? The idea of lightening, water and boats is a bit scary!

    Had a good 45 mins of hail and snow, really heavy. Now sun is trying to come out and have a slushy mess on the grass!

    Thanks Nick, really appreciate your response. Good to know there's hope yet! Temp 0.6 now so am guessing anything that falls without intensity will soon melt but nice to see it falling. Can I ask what are your thoughts on a potential N'Easterly or Easterly later in Feb?

    Is there anymore for East Sussex or is it focussed more North of the home counties? Still snowing lightly but starting to melt a little

    Wow! Snowing heavily here...was not expecting that!! Proper big fluffy flakes too! Met Office has snow over here til 1am. Temp 0.0.

    Met Office have heavy snow over me until 11am, I'm not seeing it any where on radar or charts! Pah!

    Just went out for a walk ( don't have a dog and the cat didn't fancy it!) lovely squeaky snow! Didn't measure but must be A couple of inches. Temp -0.2. Tried to get some pics of the covered lane but snow flakes Just created lots of white streaks! Will be gutted if it rains and ruins it!

    Chucking it down in Mayfield, everything white! Just looked at meto app, it now shows rain at 5 and 6am......Noooooo!

    So is it a bust for East Sussex? I'm getting sooo confused, have been checking the models maniacally and meto app etc, radar been showing pink over us since about 6pm but nothing here til light snizzle about 9pm...Some people saying radar looks awesome, some saying decaying- looks awful So, is it game over??

    Still a fair bit of snow laying around, my lane is like an ice rink! Temps dropping rapidly now. Everything crossed for tomorrow night, really hope it's not a snow to rain event!

    Re Thursday.. met office and beeb both showing the snow turning back to rain in the early hours....what are the chances? Would really like any coverage to hang around for Friday!

    Still moderate snow, decent size flakes In Mayfield, all white but can't see the lane. It's going to be seriously icy in the morning!
