    It's felt like November here this morning! A high of 13.5C, rain and strong winds! Roll on summer.....

    Absolutely loving hearing the rain lashing against the windows! So happy it's finally raining properly as so desperately needed here. Some really big gusts amongst the dull roar of the wind. Love being cosy inside with the woodburner lit. (Might not be quite so happy in the morning if our fence or shed take a battering though!)

    Wow, it's getting wild out there now! Looking at GFS and aperge it seems the worst is yet to come, roughly 3am to 6am. Very blustery for a few days after tomorrow too. Stay safe all.

    Is anyone else feeling a bit lost without snow to chase? For the last week I've had about a million tabs open checking models and radar....feel a bit empty now lol Roll on the next chase!

    Jeez it's cold tonight....currently -3.4C but with the biting wind it feels the coldest of this spell. Just lit the woodburner, best place to be on nights like this. Just wish it would snow now with the ground temps lowered perfectly!

    Still snowing lightly here, small-moderate flakes. What I don't understand is how I've been under gaps on the radar on/off all day yet the snow hasn't stopped! Is the lighter ppn not picked up on the radar? Longing for a hefty dark pink/red blob to situate itself over here! I'm exhausted from running to dive behind the curtains with a torch (no street lights here) Husband thinks I'm bonkers, have to agree with him really lol

    Had heavyish big fluffy flakes for an hour or so now light little flakes. Radar grab, looks to be more to come...hopefully!

    Morning all! Slightly hissed off....what happened? Is Darcy delayed or changed course? Moderate fine snow blowing around like crazy here, slushy deposits on car windscreen etc, temp 0.2C. Is this as good as it gets??

    Help!! My internets been down since 2pm aaaggghhhh! Worst possible time! Just walked up the lane to find a paltry H+... can't view the models and not even sure if this will post but please can anyone tell me how it's looking in my area? (Mayfield, E.Sussex, 8 miles south of Tunbridge wells) Mother in law just said it's looking to be too far east. There will be tears if she's right! Not a breath of wind and just the odd spot of rain. 6.8C I'm getting a sinking feeling...

    Me too, I think my husband is beginning to think I'm having an affair...every time I sit down I stick my head in my phone to look at this thread or the models!

    Crappy BBC south east forecast just now...said the low looks to bump the snow away from us and keep it further north....☹ Still, it's the beeb and I can't take their forecasts seriously since they stopped using MO
