A real change in temperature this morning, the wind was bitingly cold over the field. First time this season I've wished I had gloves on, my fingers were freezing!!
Wow! Sounds like the house is being pelted with pebbles! Very glad I'm inside with the woodburner lit (Only the second time this season) Driving conditions must be awful.
Thunder and lightening almost overhead then rain and suddenly the wind has really picked up here after being totally still.
Looking at the radar think this is the last of it for tonight
18.9°C here and 69% humidity. Feels so muggy. A couple of flashes to the south about half hour ago but gone quiet again.
Ideally want the storms soon before I have to go to bed as bedroom faces north!
How do you do it? (The geek in me needs to know please )
Gorgeous warm evening down the woods 7.30 til 8.15, its getting dark so quickly now but fantastic skies as the sun went down highlighting some ominous but fragmented dark clouds.
High res models looking promising from 3am til around 9am although surprisingly not great amounts of Cape!?
Sincerely hope we get a proper soaking if not t/storms though, the ground looks like a desert!
Rumblings getting louder as they move up from the south coast, gentle rain for the last 45 minutes.
Should be more to come If my headache is anything to go by (my personal storm warning!)
Disgustingly humid today. The lovely cooling breeze of this morning has been replaced by a hot waft....not nice!
Good to see the radar coming to life, nothing to benefit my area but at least some of our region is getting some much needed rain.
Seriously worrying......

So windy today! Sky a threatening dark grey but not a drop of desperately needed rain!
19°C but feels chillier in the wind. So many leaves blowing around from the poor parched trees, looks like autumn
Just had 10mins of surprise light rain! Wet roads and lovely swooshy sound as I was driving! (Not heard that for a looong time)
Desperately need more, the grass sounds crunchy, like walking on straw (looks like straw too) but nothing in the foreseeable.....
12.43am and 23.4°C
Longing for rain, everything is so parched round here, leaves are drooping and grass yellow. We need rain, and lots of it! Worryingly there really isn't any of note showing in the charts.....
Any thoughts on the week ahead and next weekend please? I'm out on our boat (The Broads) for the week...wondering if I'd be better to head home instead as really not fancying high thirties/40c temps in a fibreglass box! The ecm freaking me out the last few days!
