Up here its really foggy! I'm just 2 streets from the Beach looking over the wash, but trying to spot it is like looking up at the sky! Its not feeling much warmer here at all either, 11.3c, roughly the same as every other day this week.

Not been above 12c here since Monday..

14.6c please, if not too late!

Quite amazing sometimes to realise how convective weather produces such varying rainfall amounts! I read of places receiving 50mm plus yesterday, some parts of North Wiltshire had nearly that much in one day a few weeks ago, torrential storms gave 25mm plus over the Mendips last Friday evening, yet IMBY I have recorded only 56.5mm in nearly 7 weeks.
Had that in 2 weeks here, very wet and miserable.. Even though any rain before yesterday was showery

Could very possibly have been. I've witnessed thunder before with no correspondence from lightning maps. Earlier this month at Leicester I saw proof of it too, physically observed the lightning, but no detection. It only registers strikes that make contact with the ground it would seem.
I'm going to class it as just a heavy rain shower, I didn't see any lightning or flash at all just the deep rumble. Just going to take it as another close, but a miss, event. Don't mind though, was definitely worth it, plants are getting a good watering!

Don't think it was thunder unfortunately probably a wheelie bin like you said. I usually get tricked by that and also by planes going over its frustrating
Not surprised, the wind definitely picked up alot whilst it all came through

Huge downpour just finished coming through, just at the backend 30 seconds before it was all over there was a huge rumble, first thunder of the year? Any radars pick that up or was it just a wheelie bin?

Look to the Northern End of this rain coming through, its starting to rapidly get heavier here out of no where, whats the chance of thunder/lightning?
-
Certainly not what you would expect for the last day of May.. 16.4mm rain, gusts of up to 35mph, very dark outside and some of the biggest puddles I have seen in awhile.. Luckily it looks like at the top end of all this it wasn't as heavy or long lasting, but still packed a punch. Last of the heavy rain just passing through now, will be heading out for a walk once its past. Will be surprised not to see any flooding on the lanes inbetween the hills behind the house.

16.2mm so far this morning in Hunstanton, Norfolk. Very dark under all this cloud, and also very windy!
EDIT: The light of the computer is actually making the indoors alot lighter then outside, where all cars passing are using lights.

I imagine I'm not the only person here very jealous of those down in Kent! Good show around Canterbury last 5 minutes, more for a lot of people this evening aswell!
-
What's the chances of Norfolk getting any action this weekend?
-
Dang not seen storms on the radar like this for ages, not even in summer!

Yesterday was a bit meh, today looks similar.
Same here, nice and warm but cloudy and windy until late afternoon. Hoping for some brief sunshine today before the rain..?

Next weekend looks interesting rain-wise.. 45mm Saturday, 12mm Sunday

Reached a max of 21.8c today. Started off clear, but then thin cloud came over and kept the temperature below 18c until 3pm when it burnt off very quickly and let the temperature rise. Hopefully the forecast is correct for another day, would love 23c tomorrow!
-
18c, not a single cloud all day! Absolutely marvellous outside with only a slight breeze. Forecasted for 21c tomorrow, 23c Saturday, 22c Sunday, 19c Monday.. Great weekend coming!
-
Started off cloudy and mild, clouds started breaking up around 10am until midday when clouds started filling in the small amounts of blue. Wind picked up from 25mph this morning to 37mph right now, dropping the temperature down from its peak of 16.8c at 13:10.
Looking good for a warm weekend coming up, unfortunately not the wall to wall blue skies I could have wished for..

Mild start, mostly cloudy 13.2c as of now.

Forecasted for a cloudy damp day, but still 17c at 4pm?! I didn't see these warm temperatures forecasted until later this week. Not complaining, pretty happy as it means Summer is finally coming, but definitely a shock.

Nice to see everyone else I enjoying warmth, we've had a slight mist all week even once all cloud had gone leaving the sun out, and the max temperature this week is 19c on Wednesday. Disappointed after looking forward to this warm spell for a few weeks, just for it to be another flop thanks to the North Sea.
