It looks like our intended beach afternoon in Poole on Sunday isn't going to happen! Boys 2nd birthday treat will have to be delayed!

Glorious day today with plenty of hot sun and a brisk wind, we managed 28c again! Generally cloudy now and temperature taking a dive at 24.2c .

It feels it's going to thunder in Wiltshire to night because it warm and humid

I'll forgive you getting my name wrong! Think we're going to be too far West tonight but we can't complain as we've nailed 2 plumes already this year.

I I'm not happy because I want a thunderstorm and I like the thunderstorm in back in April and  seeing thunderstorms Southampton way but not giving out much light on the real lighting rader

lt's due to how high the pressure is and more than likely how dry the air/atmosphere actually is in this remarkable summer. To get proper rain it seems we require real instability like happened locally last Friday and has occurred to some extent further NE this evening. The same thing happened on a Wednesday afternoon several weeks ago when a front pushed up from the South.

It's going to be dry Again by tomorrow and it's going to be warming up again because the heatwave number three on it,s way but it's going to me to be dry or next week and I think it's going to come warm again like in the high 20s and 30° again

  4. Yellow warning i
    Thunderstorm
Between Fri 14:00 and Fri 23:59Further details
High temperatures may set off some heavy showers and thunderstorms, which in some places could be slow-moving and persistent, bringing a risk of flooding. Should they develop, in the heaviest showers some places could see 30mm of rain in an hour, which would likely bring flooding impacts particularly should this fall on an urban area. There would also be a smaller chance of impacts from lightning strikes. As is the nature of showers, many places will miss them altogether, and it is not possible to say precisely where they will occur, but the warning area highlights the region at greatest risk. South West England
Bournemouth Dorset Poole Swindon Wiltshire and I know it is only Salisbury part of Wiltshire the yellow warning because Warminster is not in it at the moment it's a bit disappointed in that
