  1. All the radar runs seem to point to me just getting rain/sleet with the snow being away to the NW. I want snow!!!!!
  2. My power has been back on for a while now, but a couple of houses over the road were out for longer. It looks as if a telegraph pole may have been damaged, but luckily was fixable
  3. I slept throught the worst of it last night (although it was raining with the occasional gust before I went to sleep). I woke up just now to the power being off! I'm not sure how bad it got, but I wasn't expecting disruption to power
  4. Strong feeling of calm before the storm here. Radar shows the rain literally seconds away
  5. The rain gauge and wind speedometer on my weather station have stopped working which is incredibly annoying
  6. I'm safe from the worst of it here thankfully, and I'm also safely home for the night so bring it on, Angus.
  7. Sounds weird. How close are you to Bristol Airport? It could be aircraft descending through the clouds
  8. As always, right on the edge. Don't think we'll get anything but rain here
  9. I make it 6 thunder days for here in 2016. There may have been more, but off the top of my head I can only think of 6
  10. Despite a chance of a storm, today has been dull with heavy showers and nothing electrical
  11. Not so exciting here I'm afraid. Woken by a distant rumble at about 3AM, followed by another one around 5/10 minutes later, then nothing. Was expecting so much more, but we are still under a warning with 93% humidity so there may still be a glimmer of hope Just looked at the radar! Is that the cold front coming through? Because if so, it's about to get rather wet here!
  12. Right, going to sleep now, got to be up early tomorrow for school. Could do with not being woken up by a storm but if I am, I am. Enjoy whatever you may get everyone, stay safe, and I look forward to checking back here in the morning
  13. Really ought to get some sleep, but now that's coming closer, might not be able to. And as I wrote that, I heard what MIGHT have been an incredibly distant rumble
  14. The Holland/Belgium cell (or at least the lightning strikes) now seem to have made a right and be heading North towards Amsterdam. If showers keep developing along that line from Surrey up to London, we may get something here before too long
  15. I'm starting to get a little bit of a headache, sometimes a sign of approaching rain and/or storms
  16. In the amber rain warning zone. Really hope it doesn't get any worse, don't want serious floodng
  17. I think the North Sea may play a part tonight, if that storm in Belgium comes this way
