  1. Kirkcaldy Weather wow !! A lot of information there thanks for that . Unfortunately though as I am a new to all this not sure what it all means . I am trying to work out if there are any signs of any colder air heading from the East as we head into the end of Winter ?? .
  2. I am not giving up on Winter yet !! The latest model output is showing some colder conditions in around 10 days. The photo attached was taken on the 1st of March 2018 so anything can still happen . With all the predictions of a SSW in the near future I wouldn't rule out a BFTE late Feb early March . Plenty time yet for things to change in our favour .
  3. Yes they are taking it seriously but I was thinking if the met office went for a red warning we might be looking at another January 1968 Glasgow storm . Amber warning are bad enough still expecting a rough night but hopefully the winds don't manage to go to a direct Westerly which would funnel through the Forth/Clyde valley.
  4. I was expecting a red warning for Scotland's central belt at some point today but looks like that's not going to happen . Fingers crossed that will mean less severe impact for us up here . Stay save everyone .
  5. you would think that some of this snow should reach Kinross ? Looks like a heavy band that just might creep over the mountains .
  6. what do you think the chances are of that big blob of snow managing to get as far South as Perth and Kinross ?
  7. There is some milder air coming in with this system. However I am going along with others on here going with the BBC forecast . Any milder conditions will be short-lived as the bitter air sinks South again . Still time for the track of the system to change so will be keeping a close aye on the later BBC forecast. Fingers crossed they stick to there guns and give most of the Central belt a good dumping of .
  8. Na Dinny be saying it might be tease . A few beefy showers for starters then the main course on Tuesday would be nice .
  9. Yep it's pretty surprising I was expecting a dry night with all the shelter we have. Not complaining though bring it on!!
  10. First light snow shower here in Kinross . Keeping a close eye on the radar looking dry for the foreseeable.
  11. wow!! KW that a lot of information . Basically it looks mostly dry imby unless we get some disturbance in the Northerly flow giving enough percipataion to get over the mountains further North. Looking like we have a good chance of a BFTE later on then it's game on !! .
  12. Hi everyone , wow!! Have to say today's output has me thinking we might be on the verge of something special . This is looking like a long lived cold spell that is coming right in the heart of Winter how often does that happen ? That low forecast for Wednesday looks like giving a good dumping of snow in the Southern half of the country but as far as imby goes I will be relying on disturbances in the cold N/NW flow. Fascinating charts at the moment great to see what develops in the next few days .
