Looks like a nice big gap has opened up in the radar which is brilliant no rain for me it would appear and plenty of snow on the ground!

best snow we've had so far, my neighbour moved his car on Friday and even with all the snow we had then and yesterday and space on the cobbles was not covered now within 1/2 hour its all filled in. Let hope it keeps on going the radar doesn't show it moving very fast.

We have snow falling and settling on frozen surfaces

Thick fog here and no sign of any falling although the radar shows snow

Ours was the 23rd and the actual depth of snow that fell wasn’t that great, maybe 6 inches but it was powder type and it just blew into massive drifts leaving the fields all green.
We were just talking about that day all the snow blew off my field into my garden which is much lower and filled it up with massive drifts which blocked all the gates and steps and we had gone away for the weekend and left my poor neighbor to look after the animals

The forecast says fog and that’s what we’ve got!!

consistent light snow.

Thunder snow here

More ice than snow at the moment but its settling and usually turns to snow at the end and plenty more coming on the radar it appears.

just had a heavy snow shower going through which topped up our thin layer, its very icy however so dodgy on the ground. Not much showing on the radar at the moment.

Snowing here now following about an hour of sleet and hail, its going to be one of those days where it snows all day but doesn't accumulate. Car temp flicked between 0 and 1. Hope the temp drops later and we might be in with a chance.

Height was also a huge factor last night, I had snow cover here at 93m on the grass which is still there in bits but it didn't accumulate much on the paved areas, however just 20m higher up on Coal Pit Lane there was a full covering on the pavement as well as the grass. Then I went to a relatives in Newton Heath (75m asl) but there was no snow whatsoever not even on grassy areas. It seems last night was very marginal and largely depended on high up one was.
At 1000ft we still have lying snow on the grass etc it was melting on the cobbles but the drip seems to have stopped now and we have recently had another hail shower. The wind is picking up and it is bitter outside.

total whiteout here, cannot see across the valley. Showers becoming more organised in the irish sea, not just vanishing when they leave Ireland. We've had one lightening flash in the last shower and this one is looking more like 100 % snow. As I type another roll of thunder. It is settling sort of, and looks snowy on the grass etc.

Heavy hail then grauple then snow then hail now grauple again all in 10 minutes and it’s still going would say it was snow now yes I can clearly see flakes but very light. Snow proper snow.

Just returned from taking the dogs out in the field, I thought all the snow would have melted but its still thick, anywhere on concrete is treacherous as there is now a sheet of water on top of the snow which I think will freeze. Its 0oc here.
