Flying into Manchester this evening was interesting. Lots of hefty showers made it bumpy. Then to top it all it was hail and snow when I got home.

Dawn was the mildest part of the day at 6c but it quickly fell to a raw feeling 2c by lunchtime and it’s remained around that since.
a complete turnaround from the start of week and at this time of year and after feeling the sun on my back, not one I wantedI’m currently in the South of France and it’s been peeing down all day. They need it but I’d be fed up if we had thick snow at home if I’m away .

Yes that was quite an impressive line of hail showers quite a covering on the cars!!

Still sitting at Zero and heavy snow continues to fall and settle. It’s very windy so rather blizzard like. Looking at the radar we are in the heavy bit now!

Just walked the dogs. At 1000ft I can confirm the ground is frozen solid. There is black ice everywhere. The snow that fell earlier this week is still there and has been added to by spectacular frost on everything. The wind is getting up and I’m frozen!! Clouds incoming from the west and it looks snowy. Let’s hope for a few flakes!
