    Temperature here has dropped from 3.3oC to 2.0oC in 8 minutes. Just had a light sleet shower. regards, AM

    We had a snow shower at 16:00 and it lasted for about 20 minutes. Hail shower that quickly turned to snow at 1750. Snowed on and off since then. Temperature currently 0.2oC with partially clear skies. regards, AM

    I've just been browsing TWO and one of the articles was describing January 1976. It said that the first 3 weeks were mild and very stormy, then in the last week a greenland high linked with an azores high to give a northerly airflow. This was followed in February by an easterly wind bringing low tempertures across Britain. Could this become a case of history repeating itself? regards, AM
