    Feeling very muggy here in County Louth, Leinster, east coast of Ireland. Residents living in the Irish midlands should be staying indoors, possible sting jet later.

    I thought Storm Erich on St Stephens Day/Boxing Day 2013 was really bad, worst for me anyway so far, that was a crazy one anyone remember it being bad near them? Our electric went and some slates fell. Will Ophelia be worse?

    STATUS RED WARNING now covers every Irish county, people really lost their temper when they seen schools closing in just the south east, south and west of the country. I think irish weather service and government just did not want to leave an orange alert system in place in case a life was lost in one of those counties, would not have looked a good image. Just a case of covering their backsides at this stage.

    Schools buses and schools advised to close by Irish weather service in the south of the country. Irish weather services say it could be or has the potential to be as bad as debbie in 1961. I think that's pushing it. Living along Irish sea I don't think it will be so bad but I can see some coastal flooding occuring.

    Best frost so far here this morning. Still pretty white where the sun ain't got a grip. More of the same please. Hope we get some snow this year, we'll be a long time waiting for something like 2010 again!
