  1. Thunder rumbling so deep and long now i can feel it through the ground sitting on my door step! Some awesome bolt lightening too, worth being up for at nearly 1am.
  2. Raining big drops now n wind got right up. Its here! Finally Gona got a storm!
  3. Just starting to get distant rumbles. Lightening really picking up. Seriously considering taking a walk over to the beach...
  4. Me too! Its so exciting, we havent had a decent storm in 2+ years at least!
  5. Omg and heading straight towards me! Getting 20+ distant flashes per minute here now, still no rain or rumbles to be heard yet though.
  6. So very true! They always get the best t&l and snow. Proper annoying!
  7. Oh really? Thank you for the clarication on that. Its all stopped here now, cleared to lovely blue sky's. Looks like it's going to be another beautiful day although it is now noticeably cooler.
  8. Whoop whoop! I have thunder and lightening! And it pretty noisey! And now rain! Yay, its been soooo long since we had a thunder storm. Love the smell of the rain! Made my day! Hope we also get the anticipated thunder and lightening tonight through to Sunday morning.
  9. Wow 50s over my area! The rain gods have been listening! Be even better if we get some T&L. Does anyone know if that's likely this evening ?
  10. Today started out cloudy here, then cleared and turned into a glorious sunny afternoon. Has in the last hour come over dark, and has now just started to rain. Def feels stormy, light consistant breeze, sure I keep hearing distant rumbles from across the channel. Really hoping we do get some thunder and lightning but not holding my breath
  11. Haven't been on here since I gave up looking for snow....got to say this has been by far the most boring 8 months of weather I can remember in my 36 years of life. It's just been so very very boring. Really hoping for some decent stormy weather/thunder tomorrow/Friday, or at the very least some substantial heavy rain.
  12. 5 years for us down far south east. Gutted how this winter has turned out.
  13. Couldn't agree more. It been nothingness for the last 3 months. Hardly any rain either which i love to listen to against the roof tiles in my bedroom. Roll on summer so we might at least get some electric storms.
  14. No i agree, we still have orange lights visable in the distance on a main road and it looked so much better and more visbale against the orange. Looked like a proper blizzard up against the orange light, which also seem to throw its light over a larger area too. I also think the white lights are all solar powered now so they do go off around midnight.
  15. Just an observation... but for all thoes of you with the new white colored energy saving bulbs in their street lamps..do you think are not so good for lamppost watching as the old fashioned orange lights? Or is it just me? Seems to me the snow doesnt show up so well against the white light?
  16. Tbh I didn't think much of it would lay, we had 4 hours of solid very heavy rain, to the point that areas of my garden and the road where getting flooded, yet the snow has laid on it, took about an 45mins of constant snow to lay, but it did lay and is currently still laying on all surfaces, even the super soggy bit of flooded lawn!
  17. Still snowing quite heavy in Dymchurch, and now actually laying on all surfaces. Wind has picked up too, snow going sideways! My kids are super excited :-) and have to admit so am I! First snow in 4 long years!
  18. Heavy snow here in Dymchurch, laying on the cars but no where else. Also pleased to report my lights have not flickered at all!
  19. I was thinking that as well? How can it be over such a massive area ? Are we not all on separate grids? Sometimes when the power goes out people up the road still have power so flickering light over such a large area just seems really odd to me. May be it's aliens! Lol
