I believe it! Took my daughter there last year and did one final cresta run, top to bottom completely breaking the sledge as they went. It's testament to what a good run it was that she didn't bat an eyelid when told we'd have to leave as the sledge was broken!!! Snow has just paused, but it has looked very pretty so far! -

Might be wishful thinking, but it does seem to be getting a little heavier here after the washing powder extravaganza of the last 7 hours!- 767 replies

I've just come home from St Albans towncentre to the SE of the town. All the major roads were fine, but the side roads are a bit slippy as they haven't been gritted.- 796 replies

Hi Saint. Yup...it the snow is now properly settling: at daughter's school they've said they're staying open until the end of the day, but we can pick them up at any time from now if we want to.- 761 replies

Some really good quality research, interpretation and discussion on all things nuclear and beyond can be found on the Union of Concerned Scientists website http://www.ucsusa.org/ -
Amazing isn't it, though quite a difference in brightness. The 18.30ish tomoz one looks to be similar to tonight's first pass, which was just superb! Am keeping everything crossed for a clear sky, although I don't think we'll get it.
