Overcast grunge here and a few spots of rain. I thought Lincolnshire was a good place for storms but we haven't had a decent storm for years now.

I know they say it's " too cold to snow", but I think it's too cold to storm here. Only 16c today and not had a rumble yet this year. :-(

Gfs showing that damned azuroslug high pressure that has scuppered every decent synoptic this winter. Horrific I for one are never ready for "early spring" warmth doesn't seem right when we've hardly had a winter to speak of (for the umpteenth time) and you can bet your bottom dollar we'll get that slug and boring no mans land scenario that comes with it. The absence of posts in here says it all
Azuroslug high has indeed scuppered any chance of anything decent this winter. A part of me is really wishing it is still in situ for the summer to give us a scorcher.....I bet it will have packed its bags and scarpered by then though.

There seems to be some major spitting dummies out of prams on here, over what is just a few minor adjustments. Just look at the overall picture instead of dissecting every single run. #peacetoallmen

Welcome Louth - in '87 chats only went to four or five days. Not quite apples and pears !
i am a little troubled by how much one operational gfs can do to this thread. Only one way to go from that run and it isn't upgrades! That solution in detail will never verify - as long as you all realise the next run will be less cold and snowy then we will all get on fine in six hours time!
Oh I've been watching the charts for too many years now to realise something that severe and that far out won't verify. A bit of wishful thinking perhaps.

Hi all. First post.
Were those charts to actually come to fruition, I think it would be the most severe cold spell since Jan 87' which was the coldest spell of the 20th century. It would also be exactly 30yrs since that brutal cold. Strangely I was thinking yesterday that the charts are all over the place just like they were before the 87 spell........It will probably be gone on the next run though.

Same here in Louth as well. A few heavy spots and now brightening up.
