  1. I might be wrong but looking at the radar for my area Shirley. The snow seems to be approaching from a north easterly direction. There is a mass of snow north of Tamworth I may be wrong ( I guess this is the amber related warning mass), if this follows the north easterly direction flow it will be in the Birmingham area within two hours. This front has been the most interesting in years.
  2. The next time we will see snow in the Midlands is next winter.
  3. Over reaction by the TV and the met office I feel.
  4. Agreed this winter has been hopeless when the models suggest an easterly it changes its mind two days later. As for today's event I think it will be a poor show for most of us midlanders.
  5. Is it me or is the front slowjng right down
  6. Been watching the radar for a while this morning it looks to me ( I may be wrong) t is tracking slightly more north than previously projected . im in Birmingham and I'm not ruling a snow event here yet.
  7. The whole forecasting g of this low is many many miles away from where it was supposed to track
  8. I knew it from many hours ago that front was moving in a different direction than forecasted to. It makes the met office look rather silly yet again
  9. I think some of the heavier bands will make it too brum. The front is not stalling as much as forecast
  10. The way the front is behaving I wouldn't rule anything out yet
  11. Looking good some forecasters may have egg on their faces after today. Shame l
  12. I'm with you bishop I think your right in your thoughts I may be wrong but I thought this earlier just didn't seem to follow the forecast path
  13. I agree this light stuff just blows all the way round the roads.
  14. We can all but wait and see such as weather watching is. It will be interesting to see how the front decides to go on its merry way.
  15. I'm not buying it fizzles out before moving north. It's already further east then euro4 predicted.
  16. The outer limits of the front could reach as far east as just west of London . This was not forecast I think
  17. I think that is correct uttoxeter. It was never meant to get that far east as it is now. Other forums on other sites are picking this up now.
  18. The way that front is moving eastwards is much different to the projected path which was to dive towards the south west and Wales. I wouldn't rule out anywhere across as far st as Leicester catching some. Some forecasters must have worries now it's always had a difficult path to forecast but now we'll let's wait and see.
  19. Keep watching that intense snow fall moving up the country on the radar i might be wrong but itnlooks to me that it's not heading off west as much as forecasted. Could it yet meander its way to Birmingham?
  20. That incoming front from the south doesn't look as far west as predicted just maybe it might pay us a visit in brum
  21. Here in Birmingham the snow barricades are up again. Constantly watched radar yesterday and most showers looked as though they were going to give us a bullseye hit, before being deflected away. Just one or two made it across our snow border. I'm new to this but I'm looking at radar now and it looks to me that the snow is much further east into london. But is pushing slowly north and west maybe we could be lucky.
