  1. Good point Andy.

As we own half of the land that the rivers run through also, I am reluctant to fence the edge of the river off, yet I am struggling to come up with a solution to ensure no-one goes for an unnecessary dip! (unlike our unfortunate Architect who err, fell on his backside in the river when he was measuring the land out for transfer). You had to be there but it was a definite  moment. Oh to have had a camera on me at the time

We probably won't be in the house until nearer Christmas, but that will soon be upon us and I would like to have a solution drawn up by then.

  2. thanks for the update.

so how many rooms will there be? what sort of layout are you having.

    looking good so far!

    kelly

Hi Kel, 3 bedrooms initially as it's a bungalow, although we will be expanding to 5 bedrooms and an office once we get the upstairs converted (it will be semi prepared upstairs as part of the build), but we are going to save up to do the upstairs or the mortgage will kill us!

There will also be a Living Room, Dining Room, Bathroom & an En-suite off the Master Bedroom, a Cloakroom, a Storeroom, a rather large Kitchen, a Utility Room and a builtin Conservatory/Sun Room (which is on the right hand side of the property looking across the best view from the site) oh and a Garage. It's quite a big house and the photo's don't really reflect the true size. Phew, well you did ask ;):)

  3. N0w this is exciting! When is the next up date? H0w much is it aII g0ing t0 c0st? Guess the seIIing 0f y0ur h0use wiII pay f0r a great deaI

    EagerIy awaiting update!

Hi Beka, l0ng time n0 hear, still n0t g0t the keyb0ard s0rted I see  . I am hoping to do weekly updates from here onwards. I would generally go to the site once a week (on a Saturday) to take photo's and check progression. I could go out there every day, but I feel the builders would just think i'm a pain in the ar$e and I really just want them to get on with it as they certainly know what they are doing

looks like a pile of bricks to me :o

seriously though, things are looking good, soon be thinking of moving in :D

    Cheers Mick

As long as we're in for Christmas mate that will keep us happy. I have asked the builder if he doesn't mind me going in when the spark is in as I need to run about 50 miles of Network Cable throughout the premises (planning for the future). The builder is very accomodating I must admit (well so far anyway), Mrs Dazza has already changed 3 doorways (taken one out, put another in and widened another), he's now asked her to keep away from the site though  .

  4. Do you have a cold Dazza? You should have mentioned it.

I hope you are feeling better soon darling... mainly so you'll stop complaining!

Thank you :) , I will try to refrain from mentioning that I HAVE A COLD from now on.

    fingers crossed Dazza. :)

Cold? have you got a cold by any chance?

Indeed Lou :) , oh, only as you asked, YES I HAVE GOT A COLD (sorry Lady P  ) :whistling:

  5. Thank you for your support. I think the only way we can compensate is to get another. We shall be popping to the local Rover dealer at the weekend. I know what I am like though, all their shiny grills will be shouting 'me, me' and i'll want to take them all home :( .
