  2. Perhaps just a convergence zone storm but its persistence is interesting. Must have dumped a fair amount of convective snow inland
  3. @The Tall Weatherman oh you disagree? why not say anything then? Its still in the same place, producing lighting an hour later. You dont think its a supercell?
  4. Supercell near the lake district causing continuous snowfall. Decent amount of lighting off it too - anyone got pics? (socials on radar dont seem to working anymore) Looks like only the southern half of the lakes are affected currently, but the metoffice have issued an amber warning for the whole area.

  7. Brilliant surprise cells off the backend right now! Low cloud finally lifting and i can see the storms illuminated
  8. We're looking for home growns these eve, doesnt matter much what happens in the channel. Looks like the cold front is initiating some showers in the south currently, but not progressing quickly. Things look better later as the pressure falls and position of the jet looks more favourable for divergence

  11. Looks like the forecast has changed - most active storms aren't even in the MetOffice warning area. Arome has renewed CAPE developing in the south/SW from 2pm onwards today, radar looking right for it too. Reckon we could see new storms around the M4 this evening
