I'm looking forward to the small hours..(I live on a hill in Saltdean just 5-6 miles east of Brighton Pier) My bedroom window faces South-east so I'm hoping for a distant light show if nothing else.

Almighty CG fork On the Sussex coast with shot gun thunder.
Without a doubt struck something nearby.
Imstananious thunder and a house shaker!
I wonder if it hit the transmitter mast at the top of Longridge Ave as my mobile phone is getting no signal ..

Really? There is a storm leaving northern France at the moment
I was prob a bit alarmist there. Looks like a rain curtain but had a waterspout appearance . I guess 20 miles or so?

Enjoy your bath! God, do I need another shower. The sweat just never stops. Even if there are no storms anywhere, it's gonna be a killer night for those who don't have a fan by their beds!
Mmmm yes coldish shower for me in a while then radar watching. I'm right on the South Coast just east of Brighton and cloud cover increasing here now. Might be a long night!!

Yup.25c now on the Sussex coast.
Clear blue skies and rocketing humidity.
In past years I have always had a moan about being in the wrong place for storms at given times.
That theory busted dramatically on Saturday night as work had me in SE London.
Brighton was one of the only areas in the SE that was a total bust storm wise.
Back by the sea today so I'm hoping that this deserving part of the SE gets paid in full!
As a fellow Saltdeanite , ditto
