Got 13 inches here now so only 26 inches to go to beat 2010!
Sorry I was thinking for you to hit 30 cm should have been more specific.

From memory this exceeds 2010 in terms of snow depth in amble.
-
Power flickering a couple of times here in amble, hope it doesnt go off. Wind and snow have been horrendous through the night, drifting pretty badly in places....and plenty more to come.
-
Almost blizzard like showers in amble on and off since 5pm and looking at radar plenty more coming this way.

The temperature must have got up above 0 after the main snow hit here. There seems less depth now then at 2am, despite more snow falling. There is just under 3" of wet snow. Should have been 4.
The whole thing is a damp squib.

What a let down, wet roads, slight snow on edges of paths....ive had enough of chasing snow. BRING ON SPRING.
-
Ok im off to sleep if I dont have 4 inches of the white stuff when I get up at 5:45 I'll be calling for spring to show its face.

The intensity in your area is so weak you wouldnt see much, give it 20 mins it should change by then.

If you are lucky enough to get alignment with the intense core of the snake you are in for a real pasting here. Some red areas starting to appear now which is greater than 10mm per hour of rain. Not sure how much snow that would be in these conditions, but enough to cause mayhem
10mm equals 10cm roughly.

Looking very interesting, this band ahead of the main low was not forecast by any model as far as I know looks like it is intensifying, nice little surprise. The main band is still developing so very hard to tell where the must intence precipitation will end up.
Nice little base for the real stuff.

Actually is the front still developing
It is still developing and it looks like a radar fault on the southern flank it just doesn't look right, cuts off to quickly.

I've been tracking this area of precipitation all evening and to me it looks like making landfall somewhere around the Blyth area and then heading see from there.Just my uneducated opinion though!
I agree, would have guessed Whitley Bay so only a few miles between our respective predictions.
-
The first bulk off the n'land coast is increasing intensity as it approaches. I expect the main front to follow and hit further north than initially predicted.

Downgrade for Boulmer on met office, now showing tonight as a sleet event. If that becomes the case I'll not be happy.

It doesnt seem to be developing that well in my eyes.
