Can you please explain thetipster as it looks like we are about to get more snow!!?

You can never have enough wood can you... lol... We've got about 3 cube chopped so far, but need at least 6, ideally 8!!! Still got to find supplies but aiming to be finished sawing and chopping by end of April and going to let the wind and he sun do the rest... I hope you catch up soon x

Ha ha that was only chopped last month and supposed to be the start of next winters wood... I might have to dip into a few pieces though as supplies in the porch are starting to run low !!! lol...

Ha ha... wasn't expecting it to start sticking again...

Afternoon All We currently have a powder snow 'blizzard' at the moment in Pembroke and actually trying to stick!!! Grass is slowly turning white again... I'm not expecting it to last more than half hour though according to the radar...

I've already read ' a lot' of the long term forecasts for this year Andy and I agree... Just hoping for our usual 'micro-climate' here on the coast of Pembrokeshire... sigh.. I can but hope! Last year I actually managed to grow Watermelons!

Evening All Currently have 'icing sugar' falling in Pembroke and pots I haven't bothered to empty (that filled with water) in the garden are icing over... Personally I'm ready for spring! ... Sorry... I'm already 3 weeks behind with my veg this year and my onions are germinating!!! Lol... Not that I'm obsessed with our weather...

Been thinking about you today... x Hard 'bloomin' work feeding animals and you must have had a battle today with water? I've been using a planter tray to give the birds water and I've emptied it (and knocked the ice out) 4 times today as it froze so the birds could have a drink!!! I even saw a blackbird bathe in it this afternoon... He was a BRAVE boy... lol... You deserve a warm fire Mine's been lit all day! I've waited 20yrs to get a log burner and watch snow fall at the same time, while sitting next to it keeping cosy x

If the Met Office are as on track as they have been all week Jayne, You'll get your wish ! x I even think you'll get home tom after work as I don't think the 'real' snow will start in the West until after 6pm... x

Anyway.. Anyone else in 'far' West Wales wondering how this will pan out for us? I've already told my Dad to make sure the Kabuto (small tractor, 4x4, with bucket on front, i.e.: snow plow! ) is working so he can get them both over the Ridgeway into Pembroke where fresh homemade chicken soup awaits them and tonight the log burner is currently roaring with the temp inside 23.5c... Socks offf !!! They did at least join in and laughed at me

Gosh... Sounds like you had a 'hellish' time... It certainly isn't fun for all and is something we must appreciate x I have very fond memories of it. If you check my profile page I did a post last week about how it was one of my fondest memories... But I guess we were lucky x

Yep it was the 1st week in Jan and it snowed for nearly 3 days solid where we lived at that time... Manorbier in Pembrokeshire... I don't think we are in for 3days solid in the 'Far' West Wales but we are certainly in for some snow

Ooo I want to say HE is a HANDSOME Boy x He? looks so well looked after. My garden birds had Double rations todays... And scoffed the lot... lol... and a Pied wagtail has taken up residence since the cold weather started... It stuffs it's face, sits in the warm sunshine for an hour or so... and then stuffs it's face again before flying off for the evening. Oh and can someone please relay to the pair of Magpies building a nest for the past week high up in the blackthorn to tone it down a bit, I'd be grateful... lol... If you thought it was cold today tomorrow will be colder lovely x More wind! You need to be well wrapped up against the windchill. I would seriously love to visit your gorgeous spot once this 'inclement' weather is over? As I've said I refuse to get excited until tomorrow... lol... x

If you're working Thursday I dare say you'll be keeping a close eye on the afternoon's weather for getting home... It seems most of these snow showers this week are coming in earlier than forecast! x

Sorry only just seen this... Ha I agree it didn't seem strange to us at all... lol... It was the drifting with the wind! one side of the road would have nothing and the other side would have 6ft or more!!!! I don't think it's going to miss us and it's going to be windy, as to how much snow we get, the models differ, I'm holding back and planning to get all excited tomorrow... lol... I'm all prepped and have cooked enough to feed an Army... lol... x

Didn't you get some 'flakes' in Tenby today Ben? I'm waiting for tomorrows run to confirm how much and when, but I'm almost certain we WILL get snow on Thursday, The upper air is cold, the ground is cold, it will be snowing at sea before it reaches land

Oh my Goodness!!! Was not expecting any snow to fall in Pembroke today... lol... Our chances were slim! But we've had 'dandruff' on and off since 10.30am this morning and in the last hour they've turned to proper flakes!!! and still falling...lol...
