  1. well the forecast up to and including the weekend is for plenty of rain about, but as as been the case over the last few weeks ,hull and east Yorkshire seems to be dodging most of it.lets see how it pans out.
  2. bbc weatherman saying rain spreading across east Yorkshire on Saturday, caption from same bbc weather saying dry all day Saturday.they haven't a clue.

  5. dont know where these torrential thunderstorms the met o keep forecasting get to.not had one in hull.just the usual light rain and drizzle.certainly no danger of any floods around here.
  6. apart from greenhouses gases making a major impact of global warming.ive noticed not only are temps rising in the day but also at night, another change that could make a difference in cities is I live in a city and I walk down many streets in hull and 90% of front gardens are concreted over for cars.no wonder nights are warmer.concrete takes a long time to cool down after a days heat.in the long term, things like this have to change.we need more trees and grass and the return of a green front garden.
  7. another warm and sunny day in hull,i think we must be one of the warmest places in the uk today.no hint of rain, mostly blue skies.
  8. despite all the forecasts for hull and east Yorkshire of heavy rain and storms for Thursday to sunday,i may be wrong but we seemed to miss most of the heavy stuff, most of the time it seemed either dry out ,or just light rain.we may of course have had heavy rain during the night.
  9. in other words for all the modern forecasting equipment, the met office and other weather companies have no real idea what the weather will be like longer than a week.
  10. weathermen way out, still waiting for the heavy storms forecast last night today and tonight.still dry.they haven't a clue
  11. still hot and humid in hull, had the odd light shower, bit of thunder, but nothing of note.
  12. just hope its dry for the hull v warrington match on saturday
  13. at least this weather is getting booted back to the continent, where it belongs.
  14. I think east Yorkshire has had below average rainfall for months on end now,the pennines seems to be far more of a barrier than ever.
  15. good hours worth of moderate rainfall last night in hull.saved me watering garden.
  16. unsettled weather predicted for east Yorkshire this week has never really materialised, bit of rain here and there, but no heavy thunderstorms or heavy showers,we still must be well down on rainfall in hull and east Yorkshire.
  17. both the bbc and meto forecast a large area of heavy and thundery rain moving over hull and east Yorkshire this afternoon.we didn't get a drop.amazing how far the forecasts are out sometimes.
  18. hopefully a brief warm blip.before temps slide down again thankfully.
  19. weather warnings were out in the east Yorkshire area over the last 2 days, just a bit of light rain and drizzle at times.
