    Just like I said, the radar is turning pink as it leaves the Wigan area

    Tried to get up to Rivington pike & Winter Hill mast but it was impossible. My old man worked in Belmont and he said the snow was pilled up 5 feet high in places. I remember watching the weather forecast on the BBC and they mentioned that the Manchester area could receive up to 10 inches of snow. Was a remarkable experience.

    79 was special. Must have been over a foot of snow here. Seemed to last for ages.

    If it turns pink after it leaves the Wigan area I’m in business. They are only 8 miles away but about 300 feet lower than me.

    I remember the day of the zeebrugge disaster woke up to 6 inches of snow and it had all melted by midday. Think that came up from the south west

    I would love a scientific report on why this happens with a south east wind. I mean the peaks are not exactly the Alps.

    I would rather take the GEM. Don’t think it performed very well this winter though.

    It’s been the same story so far this winter. Heights trying to build north but the PV over North Eastern Canada just keeps on spewing out lows.

    I only drink in Blackburn & Darwen when we take over Ewood park lol

    Darwen is a little higher than Little Harwood. I’ve seen the difference myself when driving up from Bolton and over the tops into Darwen. Get into Blackburn and it’s very different.
