That's what I thought! I'm hoping for 5-10cm here in West Leeds. I'm heading back to Kent but waited an extra night to see this. Doesn't snow much ever down there so anything is good for me.

Looks like 2 hours of snow for West Yorkshire looking at the forecast graphics. 5-7am ... A blink and you'll miss it event! I'll be early rising

The apps aren't accurate. I'd say based on an amber that you are likely to be in the firing line.

Travelling back from West Yorkshire on Friday morning. The Yorkshire thread is very slow. Can anyone shed any light on this forecast from the MetO. 6 hours of snow in the north?

What's happening Friday morning then? BBC are saying 2-3 hours of snow, heaviest at 9am. EDIT they've actually updated it from sleet.

What we thinking? Seems to be coming into towards West Yorkshire. Maybe enough to provide a dusting to slight covering while it pivots.
