this is only the 2nd event for Hinckley - if you call it that! so pretty to see, came quick and the grass is covered, but melting already. Our first event was before new year, but the snow melted very quickly then too.

a couple of cm here, grass covered pavements and road. But melting already, caught the last 10 mins of heavy walking around the block with my cat following, so lovely. (2nd walk of the day so don't grass me up for rule breaking #F COVID!)

hahah Hinckley is literally on the cusp of the weather warning! Parts of Leicestershire are in - Hinckley is Out! I have no hopes anyway, we have missed all events this winter, we had a dusting that lasted a short while before melting and that's about it !!!

I think we are so central it means we get teased a lot - but seem to miss from all directions - north south east and west!

feel your pain living in Hinckley too. We are so central the weather teases us from all corners but we never get it!

December 1990 if memory serves me correct... no power or water, flushing toilets with melted snow. It was before Christmas as remember Christmas decorations ?

think im going for a final wander and make the most of it!

Is the snow only here for a very short time - I,e minutes or is it likely to carry on for longer until it turns to rain?

im going for another walk if it falls here, make the moist of it! we walked to the pub last night and wobbled home, loved it!!!!

we certainly get teased and given false hope more!

I love reading the forums BUT I get hope for a dump of snow as others have, I am left feeling very envious of others wins. Leics has failed again. we had snow, the grass is covered, but not the depths of others. I went for a lovely walk last night, Glad I Did as the weather was superb, blowing snow in the icy wind, drifts, fabulous! Roads for a time were covered too. we can hope for more today but I do think being so central is our downfall for many reasons. We live in hope for any snow event because there is always a chance !!

So Leicestershire not included in the amber warning then , typical! It is hammering it down though, small flakes. So not all bad my feeling, we are so central we miss it when it’s north south east or west! But because we are central we are so often teased by all the fronts!

Just looked where the Brecon Beacons is - 132 miles... perhaps not!

I may go for a drive! Find it. Where is best folks? Don’t want to get stuck though heheh

thats hilarious, still missing East Midlands ie. Leicestershire, makes it even worse!! looking even closer, thats most of the UK except the middle!!!!!!!!

Where about I’m Hinckley are you? I’m cov road are which actually is lower nd doesn’t do so well as top of town, lol. Im tempted to have a drive round - maybe towards COALVILLE they always get loads!
