Even as the uppers slightly rise next weekend, surface temps will still be very cold and potential re load?
It's certainly possible!! Great stuff

And so it begins, hoping for snow here from 3ish onwards. Just to put into perspective how promising this spell is looking ecm has us in minus 10 uppers (or below!!) From midnight tonight until a week on Saturday. Absolutely fab.
Latter stages of ecm also looking interesting let's put it like that.
Time to enjoy this cold spell

Just looking in the Scottish thread and there's reports of snow as far South as the Scottish borders, to low levels.
Cold air sinking quicker than expected by the looks of it, got a feeling a few of you in the North East are going to wake up to some decent snow cover tomorrow
Crikey that would be an unexpected surprise. I'm thinking snow here from mid day onwards.

Looks like something is brewing for this time next week. Not getting overly excited just yet but would be nice to have non marginal snow.
Finally stopped raining here and can even make out a small break in the clouds.

The radar suggested Derby really was the sweet spot.
Indeed, for the first time ever, it usually manages to miss most snowfalls.

Turned to slush here with a lot of melt. Was nice to see it coming down heavy though last night.

Good covering here now, looks to be around 2 inches.

Heavy snow here and starting to settle on cars, this could be a good event for the whole region.

Its on the turn here, heavy sleet now.

Haha I've just checked out the gfs 12z and it does indeed have 10-12 hours of snow and quite moderate too
This does look juicy. However il not getting my hopes up this time as fear I am not high enough and too close to the coast.
At least it's some interesting weather to keep an eye on and fingers crossed we all get a good pasting.

Haha likewise, it's raining here.
