Hello again everyone, so nice to see the SW thread open again, it was easy to get lost in the Southern one!! Due to start again at the gym on 1st Feb after 3 months off, so had thought all along we might get snow, so I can't get there!! Wonder what my chances are! Hope to see plenty of the white stuff.

Getting so dark outside, indoor lights on, street lights will go on soon I imagine!! Wonder what the clouds hold?!!

Got zero chance.. But at least we have had snow ( albeit about 100 flakes ) this side of xmas

Great to have forum back to keep an eye on the local weather. Hope you have all had a good summer/autumn! Raising a toast in cider to you all and hoping for some snow. Certainly a fair bit of rain and wind here today!

Lovely day here again, but it turned cloudy late afternoon and is now very dark, been like that since a little after 6!! Are we due a storm??

We have had two lots of hail today, sky currently very dark, wondering what is about to fall??!

just been out for a long walk, Hempsted way and down by river, its so cold out. Some of the brooks I passed are frozen over.

As an avid snow watcher, I have now become an avid watcher for dry weather instead!! Is there any hope we will get a dry bright spell soon?!

I popped in this evening to see what folks up around Gloucester experienced just after mid-day today. The rainfall radar appeared to show torrential rain for and hour to and hour and a half. Did that really happen, or was it picking up sleet?
We had a quarter of an hour or so of torrential rain at 7.00 but nothing special since.
Models continue to look confused for return of cold, but I am expecting something between 20th and 23rd as I would see it taking that long for Greeny High to rebuild and to ease the warmer weather out.
It will be interesting to see what actually happens!
There was torrential rain around 2.30/3 pm (not sure of time) we were out in the car driving from Moreton in Marsh to Cheltenham. We also had loads of rain before that early morning.

Working on the assumption that when we had snow the roads weren't gritted at all near us, I have a feeling we won't see any snow/ice etc- the gritters have been out and even gritted the bus route down Lobleys Drive!!
