  1. Rain furiously lashing down. Contact up in the Lakes says there's been 2 inches rain in Langdale in past 7 hrs.
  2. Electric flicker -- have a torch ready. Can hear gusts approaching like express trains.
  3. Lo Wind Map - Britain Observations XCWEATHER.CO.UK look how the wind is funnelling into the NW. It's just not fair.
  4. Utterly awful. Howling wind and horizontal heavy rain. There'll be trees crashing down.

  6. err what? Gone VERY black and vey windy. Rain started 10 mins ago. Clouds down on fells now.
  7. Grim dark wet day, Looking strangely lighter grey southwards but expecting deluge soon according to radar. Wind picking up.
  8. There'll be a spring. I noticed last week that the noses of snowdrops are just half an inch from the surface.
  9. Been outside briefly in steady cold rain. 6.4C but feels colder. So dark could scarcely see. Thankfully indoors again and drawn curtains.

  12. Been watching it creeping up. How much influence does the Irish Sea have? High tide at Blackpool at 2.32 pm today. Still sullen cold up here in the hills. Temp risen a tiny bit to 35.1C.

  15. Gone cloudy here after a nice sunny morning. Interesting looking at radar --showers moving from the Irish Sea into Solway estuary, Morecambe Bay and Cardigan Bay. Long noisy chain of geese came overhead this morning flying west.
