we are barely 2m from the city centre on a dead end street with an incline, all small old terraced houses. Our street typically retains snow and ice when others around us have cleared, so what little snow I am seeing outside my window is probably more than the next street has got.
but it's still trying - a few flakes, here and there
either it's started snowing again here in S11, or someone is pulling a sheet of polystyrene apart... lots of teeny tiny white bits floating past the window...
Not looking to shabby here at Hunters Bar, Sheffield (S11), snow is still coming down vey lightly, big flakes and being on a steep dead end road, so far, only one car has ventured downhill...
I work at an FE College and it was always the waiting game - we would check what the other colleges were doing - the ones on the outskirts closed first, us in the middle of the city at lower levels had to wait until all the others shut by which time, the roads would be shocking and getting home was a nightmare. Lot to be said for working from home
yes it was a bit of a surprise here in SW Sheffield, the frostiest the car has been so far this year! so much for milder weather (mind you, we had seen a gritter last night heading up Ecclesall Road on a mission, when we were coming back from music class around 8pm)
chance of snow coming back in Sheffield around 4pm according to METO and BBC weather, earlier forecasts were looking at 4pm to 7pm so disappointing that its downgraded again. It isnt hanging around long when it does snow but does look pretty for that brief period. Any further (hopeful) models out there we can turn to?
Well The Sheffield Star has JUST posted this on twitter - heavy snow due to start again in Sheffield in the next few minutse - so it must be true because the Star never lies

well it was nice while it lasted here. Seems to have stopped, dunno how long for at least i can still see snow on the hills over towards the peak dsitrict
They look fab
We suddnely have a lot of fog here in Sheffield City Centre looking over from the direction of the station towards the SW) can't see all the usual landmarks - Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Bramhall Lane, VelocityTower or even the new construction taking place further up St Mary's Gate/Ecclesall
