    I'm now declaring Middlesbrough and Teesside in general one of the most boring places to live for weather events in the UK. I can't believe we have not had a decent thunderstorm, it's bad enough missing out in the winter. I can put up with the humidity if there's a breakdown with a storm but nope not to be. Sorry for the rant.

    I'm based in Middlesbrough and I can now hear thunder in the distance, so it's finally time to light the fireworks lol

    We must get some thunder and lightning 🌩 today surely!! Some really high cloud movement going on around us!! Bring it on!! I can now hear rumbles of thunder in the distance!!

    I dont normally post during the summer months, mainly because I hate the humidity but we must surely be in for a storm or two!! I can't believe we seem to miss out on the summer storms now too.

    Well I can't fault your persistence seabreeze I hope it comes off just for that alone As you probably know I've throw in the white towel now for this winter, roll on some warm spring nights.

    Rating this winter, What are you all rating this winter out of 10 My honest opinion is 2 I would of gone 1 but we have seen a few light snow showers and had some frosty nights, I have seen winters that have produced absolutely nothing, so I've gone for 2. We have had nothing of interest weather wise in teesside since last summer's 40 degrees. I'm very disappointed I was hoping for much more. Sorry for the negative post but I'm just so let down by our winters now.

    If the planet did indeed have had a "day after tomorrow moment" teesside would still miss the snow, we'd all be sunbathing on the beach wondering what all the fuss is about

    Sorry to sound a pain but I'm writing it off now, totally downbeat with all these weather warnings and nothing coming from them, don't have a clue what models they are using but I think there from cloud cuckoo land

    I've give up now if I'm been honest, roll on some warmer temperatures. Another shambles of a winter, dull and boring. Will be nice to get some warm sunsets with my camera, there's always next winter

    Honestly I don't think we will see a prolonged snow event in teesside for a long time. I'm not particularly fond of summer heatwaves but you can guarantee we will have some stinker hot weather somewhere in the summer, I wouldn't mind if we were guaranteed some snowy scenes in winter but it doesn't happen no more, plus it's not often we get a true thunderstorm either, very disappointed everyone!!!

    My birthday is march 14th and there's been plenty of times down my 43 years on the planet (Christ I'm getting old lol) where we have had snow and cold roundabout that date!! Fingers crossed for a late winter spell again. I too am also looking forward to some warm spring time sun too at the same time.

    It's now the 8th February and time is ticking now for this winter if we want to see lying snow!! I still think march will deliver something decent but I'm not confident, fingers crossed.

    Let's shut up shop now then eh!! It's only the 20th January, we have a full Feb and March to get through yet, anything can happen just enjoy the ride as they say!!!

    This winter will provide us a good covering I reckon, Feb/March will hopefully deliver for us straight off the North Sea (if only carlsberg done winters haha)

    I still think this winter will have something in store for us. If my memory is correct March can produce some heavy snowfall for our region if the right conditions are here (a big if now mind) we still have February too so it's not over by any means.

    Breeze is picking up slightly and it seems to be getting a tad warmer than last night, hopefully a surprise snowfall may make an appearance, fingers crossed
