I have never heard thunder so explosively loud before, one bolt sounded like a bomb going off right outside, must've struck directly overhead. Loudest thunderstorm I've ever known.
I actually think the last week has been decent. Low teens but long sunny spells most days and here we've been sheltered from the wind coming from the North. Another sunny morning and feels warm in the strong sun
Plumes are amazing if you live on or near the south coast usually. It's the only synoptic that delivers thunderstorms here 99% of the time. That's probably why a few people I know think thunderstorms only happen overnight.
Missed the squall line this morning, went through a gap, disappointed. Decent day in Southampton today though, mostly sunny with a brief heavy shower while waiting for the train to come home.
CryoraptorA303 I've got the heating on aswell, houses here havent had the sunshine or warmth during the day to heat the bricks up, we havent even got above 15c in my location yet and its been mostly cloudy. Currently 11c so basically winter temps still.
