I'd like the hot summer but interspersed with thunderstorms every few days to keep the plants healthy.

Shame it's not in the middle of summer otherwise I would be looking forward to it.

Just wondering, what does this all mean for the weather in the Alps, worried the snow will melt at this rate by the time I go (a week).

20cm on the patio and lasted very nicely and kept its depth well for 2 days. Slow thaw the next day from the sun and was sadly washed away due to heavy rain on the Sunday night. (It fell on Thursday evening) If it hadn't rained it probably would have stayed around for 1 or 2 more days.

My one and only snowfall of this winter, in a city, at 60 metres ASL: Not such a bad winter after all.

Yeah, they usually are terrible. Actually, it was more than 2010, 2013 and 2018. It matched 2009 so that equals a decade. I don't know why your trying to argue that.

Loads of the south

Some people got the most snowfall in a decade and the coldest temps since 2010 were recorded so not at all a poor winter for some.

It looks quite similar to the 6z still? Only thing better was the control going very cold I think

Ahhh! I would kill for those charts in the summer, bit of a waste really.

Lol! Sometimes I've come to this thread and there's been 11+ pages of bickering though! Feel bad for the mods.

Funny that us in the south are the only ones this year with a major snow event! MAD thread gone wild because there is no sign of cold soon but I'm just sitting back relaxing because we've had our snow fix, just waiting for another. Living in the south, I don't class any winter with a major snow event in the ones to be forgotten. That snow event last weekend 100% redeemed this winter for no cold and that awful mild December.

Always keep the hope. Remember we had no idea what March would bring this time last February. We were getting hints but we didn't know for sure.
