I'm starting to think you have a part time job as an actual Bald Eagle! It would certainly explain the birds eye view...
It would probably be more fun

I said the same a while ago. Looking forward to doing morning dog walkies in the local woods in DRY, frosty and cold conditions. So much better than drizzle, wind & rain all the time.
Same here. Cold and dry is good. Long may it last, well until Saturday anyway. Doom and gloom in the mad house this morning. Enjoy the calm while it lasts. Looks a tad stormy the weekend for down this way.

I had the post deleted twice, of course I want to air my views.
The problem you have is you take no action on those posters who are doing nothing but being unrealistic. It's been like this for years now. A boom here or a bin there and every time cold is sniffed at by the models, it gets compared to every notable event we've ever had. It's totally unrealistic and is unfair for those that are visiting but don't know how to read models.
I'm not bothered I've not seen snow, I'm bothered about how cold weather is portrayed on here. As stated, the goal posts are moved to suit the agenda. If they were just moved with a we got it slightly wrong, that's fine, but they are moved and denied that they got it wrong until people follow suit into believing that the second date given was always the correct date.
I'm not here to expect posters to say its going to snow on 12th February 2024. But it seems (things can still change) that January didn't turn out as was portrayed and that's partly fault of those that are booming, binning or comparing every evidence of cold to those past notable events.
Do what I do mate. Block those that make noise and keep those that make sense. Very simple, otherwise everything gets a bit messy.

Just removed myself from the mad thread. Cannot believe there is squabbling over how much or how little snow will fall next week. It does make you think that people really do need to get a grip. Anyway, central bristol, temps rose before dawn. Currently 4 degrees and slightly overcast. Good Morning

Due to the over excitement in the mod thread I've purchased 2 tins of soup and a 200g packet of salt. ( the salt is purely for me being able to put the bins out in a non slippery way)

The model thread is fine if you have most of the posters on ignore.
As I do. There are a handful of very good people. The rest are just noise. Wheels coming off again at the moment I see

Yep. The final 8.15 this eve. One of my mates has Luke The Nuke at 80/1, pre-tournament.
I got him at 66/1

Just dipped in for my weekly giggle at the mad thread. The word ' potential' is being used alot by those picking one computerised prediction from hundreds. Very amusing. Anyone see the darts last night?

Yes, unfortunately its becomming more of a clique over there, ive noted it before in recent years but definitely worse this year. You say about learnings, ive regularly asked in relation to teleconnections what went wrong in August as apparently the science was rock solid pointing towards a hot dry spell...totally ignored by the so called experts!
Its nice to have people like Tillys posting factual charts as opposed to those posting something at day 10 and guessing how it will transcribe into something fantastic down the line..hopefully he/she continues and doesnt loose enthusiasm fighting the tide. I thought we were having a 'chasing cold' thread this year for the rampers
Anyway, enough of the moaning, the Xmas cold spell is now within the reliable..just checked the Met, my temps are forecast to tumble to a bone chilling 9 c on 25th and 26th.
Alot of back slapping. I find blocking the noisy ones and reading posts of those who are worth reading helps. Have a good Xmas

Morning..latest madness from mad thread. " you feel if Xmas was a bit later we might see some of the white stuff". There you have it folks. We need to change the dates to align with the weather

Apparently there are 'tentative signs' if you read the mad thread. I have no idea what that means but it might be there are tentative signs of weather?
