Noone knows... what will happen will happen. Its like being in Ladbrokes trying to pick a greyhound winner on a wet Tuesday afternoon

I've just read 'hide behind sofa' , 'critical', 'game over' and all sorts on the crazy thread. I bet the people in charge of pumping out the models at certain times of the day leave the thread open on a large monitor just to giggle at the reactions

Long time (normally) a winter lurker. Would it be possible for one of you esteemed members to decipher the latest models and put some money on a forecast. I'm cycling from Kent to Somerset Saturday and need a dry tailwind. Sorry mods, it's raising money for the Royal British Legion. Thanks

Lovely Winter's day but couldn't help notice how low the humidity is today at 53%! with a temp of 2.1°C, dew p -6.5°C, its going to feel raw in that wind today!
I can confirm that outside my crane at 70m up its 35mph and absolutely baltic!!

Great news that the met office are still going against the models because I know which one I'd trust more. Hopefully we'll see a shift in the models in the next few runs to reflect this. The dream is still alive for stalling fronts and battleground snow over the region. Hoorah!
To be fair, xc weather, which uses gfs has been showing this for a couple of days for Bristol

The last time I was this excited about something I think I had just bought a new pair of work boot laces. As they say in the creche thread...240hrs is when it will start and more runs needed

Ah the regional thread where innuendo and gin used to be king. Where we would get excited at the lamp post, share in each other joys. The thread was a place to escape the real world (even more this year) and get excited about a flake of snow. We're not all die hard weather fans we just would like a little bit of joy in the snow. So to those who can't see that this place is a little bit of fun. Don't bring us down as well. Anyway if we are grumbling let's grumble about LED lamp posts they are bobbins for lamp post watching compared to the old style. Mines a double hendrix what you drinking?
I'm on the thatchers...

Gfs picking up on something for Bristol Thursday/Friday next week (seen on xc, which uses that, I use xc for wind forecast for work)? Fully aware its a forecast which may as well be next year but it might be sniffing at something.

Exactly. To be fair, you can't have it both ways. End of the day, if you want to live by the Coast and have great Summers then you live down South. Whereas up here, we don't get the fantastic summers or a beach nearby, but we get colder winters.
Anybody would think Stoke is in the Arctic circle and a thousand miles inland by that . The weather will do exactly what it wants..just be happy

They're quick enough to give it when it's going in their favour lol. I'm only stating what the chart shows anyway and it's true that it looks better for more parts of the UK.
I went in to read your post then made a quick exit..immediate headache
