  1. That's quite a few more than we've had in Glasgow
  2. 27 days now since we had what you could call a good summers day and no prospect of one on the horizon. Was toying with just booking 4 or 5 days in Spain yesterday as flights were available for £54 return.. Really wish I had because they've gone up 500% because the quarantine was removed
  3. never ending dross. 1 day above 20c so far for Glasgow in July, averaging 3hrs of sunshine a day. The average max is 17.2c according to Meteociel, which means we are on course for the coolest average max for the duration of their records (back to 2006) No prospect of any change. Those first 8 weeks of lockdown seem like a distant memory - sunshine, quiet roads, long walks
  4. Hi folks, any way to find out what the number of sunshine hours has been so far for July at Met Office weather stations?
  5. not growing. Got broccoli though. Max 17c for next days. Dismal
  6. Torrents of rain pouring down the streets of Glasgow southside. Monumental 20mins of rain
  7. Like many others I've taken to trying my hand at growing stuff during the lockdown. Everything was going well, all 6 of my cherry tomato plants had started flowering, but this weather.......woke up yesterday to find one had blown clear of it's supports and snapped at the bottom. 7-10 days of cool, wet weather really isn't good for my tomatoes, peppers or chillies The broccoli meanwhile...it's looking amazing...organic broccoli all round by September I think! Need sunshine back asap
  8. February 2020 is currently the 5th wettest month in the last 10 years at my local station. 44mm more and it will be the 3rd. Grim, My watch has a rechargeable battery and with the lack of sunshine and a house full of LED lights, it hasn't worked for 3 weeks
  9. Some crazy rainfall in NSW and QLD in the last few days. Byron Bay had 80mm in an hour!
  10. Just had a few rumbles if thunder in South side of Glasgow
  11. Is it possible to access data for met office sites around Scotland? Feels like it's been raining non stop for a couple of months now and was curious what the actual stats show.
  12. Sledging at Cathcart Castle golf club and can see all the snow over the Campsies
  13. Morning folks, long time lurker here. Southside of Glasgow seems to have missed out on all last nights snow by about 10miles, I had 5 inches at 5pm last night and only up to 6 inches this morning. Looking at the radar just now and it seems to be the band across the north of Glasgow still getting all the snow. Come on snow gods, shift that snow south!
