    Wow, Wycombe did well. Better then us in Chesham but we still had enough to get snowed in , so no complaints.

    I see the Met Office has downgraded everything and now talks about widespread rain over the country..yuk ! Temperature has dropped here over the past couple of hours but no snow still,.

    Plenty of cloud all night and into the morning...all empty Stupid question from a weather science ignoramus but can forecasters tell the difference between cloud and cloud with stuff in it?

    Lovely fat flakes here in Chesham, Bucks....wasn't expecting this from the forecast. The latest weather report from Sky news is there is no early end to the situation and lots more snow for the south east to come until the middle of January Not sure what I am going to do with my twelve year old son though, his school is a long distance away and we are snowed in here.

    I always feel like the Chilterns are in weather forecasting no mans land Are we in the south east area? Or central England? Does anyone know whether we are in line for any more snow?

    Unbelievable amounts of snow piling down here. Last time I saw this amount of snow , I was in Canada ! A memorable winter

    Snowing heavily with big fat flakes here in the Chilterns.

    Clear blue skies and no clouds here in the Chilterns. We had the lightest shower of the tiniest of snow granules last night.

    How odd. The met office have removed all their severe weather warnings since this morning for most of the UK for today and tomorrow. No show for the snow then?

    Thanks Archie, I have to plan things for my mares if there is a chance of getting snowed in again, so any advance warning helps. And I love snow !

    Just seen the Beeb forecast for the rest of the week... a fest of cold, wet rain with not a snowflake in site for the south east

    We have had the snowfall of a lifetime here in the Chilterns, it has been stunningly beautiful for days. Chucking it down with vile rain at the moment washing away any chance of lying snow for Christmas ....We also had a huge flash of lightning and a roll of thunder too.

    There is thick lying snow in the Chilterns, absolutely beautiful. We had loads on Thursday night which hasn't melted so it is amazing now.

    Heavy snow and high winds here in Chesham. About four inches already and still more falling. Huzzah!

    Bah humbug poxy rain now....I was hoping we were high enough in the Chilterns to keep the snow. We are always on the edge of any interesting weather as if there was an anti snow/ storm /etc magnet pushing it away.
